All-in-one touch computers - where the CPU is integrated into the casing either behind the monitor or in the stand - are very common. They are portable and take little space. The most widely used touch technology is the resistive touch technology.
What touch technology to select is very much dependent on the intended usage on the one side and the characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of each of the touch technologies on the other side.
Questions that should be asked are: Durability, input flexibility, light transmission, resistance to chemical substances, resistance to scratches, how will touches be applied - direct contact with skin or not (e.g. gloved hands if used in the medical field), a nylon pen (also "stylus"), exposure to the elements, and other considerations.
